At the beginning of the year, I will start a new ministry with River Hills Church as the Executive Pastor. No... I won't be a pastor to "Executives" (ROTFLOL... someone really thought that's what that meant). My role will be to handle day-to-day operations, coordinate small groups, develop/train people, manage staff, and assimilate people in ministry and missions from our community to the ends of the earth.
Lisa and I are very excited about the move to River Hills and we look forward to fruitful ministry in partnership with Lead Pastor, Chip Wheeler, and his wife Sarah Beth. River Hills Church is a church plant located in Winder that started in 2007 with the support of many churches including First Baptist Church Winder. Currently, we meet at the Winder YMCA for worship at 10:45AM on Sunday mornings
Here are some prayer requests from our family:
1. Pray for our children, Tyler, Jared and Elisabeth as they make a transition to a new church. Pray they will connect with new friends easily.
2. Pray for Kingdom Growth! Jesus said to "seek first the Kingdom of God"!
3. Pray for wisdom.
4. Pray for provision.
5. Pray for Lisa as she works for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. She and the agents she works for are revising her compensation to increase accountability and production. The agents she works for are very supportive of her commitment to being off work when the kids get out of school, and they are very supportive of the work we are involved in at River Hills. Thanks John and Nick for having Lisa on your team! You are not only supporting a person, you are supporting Kingdom advancement!
6. Pray for me...that I would demonstrate humility, justice, mercy, and compassion to all (Zech. 7:9).
